Today, we are excited to share the incredible efforts of Damooga Foundation and Kendriya Vidyalaya School CRPF, Avadi, as they came together for a special Tree Plantation Drive on Wednesday 2nd August 2023. The event was a step towards nurturing a greener environment and fostering a sense of community responsibility and PM SHRI VIDHYALA ON 3rd year anniversary of NEP-2020.

The sprawling grounds of Kendriya Vidyalaya School CRPF, Avadi, were abuzz with enthusiasm on that sunny Wednesday morning. Over 50 volunteers, including students, teachers, and members of the Damooga Foundation, joined hands to plant a diverse array of saplings. The drive aimed to create a lush green environment and encourage sustainable practices within the school community.  Around 110 saplings were planted within the school compound and 135 saplings were also planted in the herbal garden, maintained by the school’s Eco Club.

The Damooga Foundation and Kendriya Vidyalaya School CRPF, Avadi, had a clear mission in mind: to plant a seed of change for a better tomorrow. Their joint endeavor aimed to instill eco-consciousness among the students, teachers, and the local community, fostering a sense of responsibility towards Mother Nature.

Beyond the act of planting trees, the event served as a powerful platform for community engagement. The students and volunteers worked hand in hand, exchanging knowledge and experiences. This spirit of collaboration ignited a sense of pride and ownership in the hearts of everyone present, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.

Environmental Impact:

The positive impact of the Tree Plantation Drive extends far beyond the school grounds. With each sapling taking root, a mini-forest is born, capable of purifying the air, providing habitat for wildlife, and mitigating the effects of climate change. These trees will stand tall as a symbol of hope for generations to come.

One enthusiastic student, Priya, shared her thoughts, 'I never realized how planting a single tree could make such a difference. Today, I feel a sense of responsibility towards the environment, and I can't wait to watch these saplings grow into mighty trees.' The school principal, Mr. Nk sharma, , also expressed his gratitude, stating, 'The Tree Plantation Drive exemplifies the power of collaboration and the impact it can have on our surroundings. We are proud to be part of such a meaningful initiative. It was also attended by Headmaster - Ramashankar singh, School Co-ordinator- Mrs-Geetha, School Associate- Mrs.Sreedevi Nair.
