Integrated Farming Village
Integrated farming is a sustainable agricultural system that combines crops, livestock, and other enterprises to enhance productivity and resource use. Damooga Foundation’s Integrated Farming Village model demonstrates this approach in action — empowering farmers with diversified income and environmental resilience.
Each project village is planned with crop-livestock integration, vermicomposting units, biogas plants, solar pumps, and water harvesting systems. Cattle, goats, poultry, and fish are reared alongside paddy, pulses, and vegetables — ensuring zero waste and maximum return.
Training is given on farm planning, disease control, fodder cultivation, and organic practices. Women and youth are engaged through SHGs and farmer producer groups to scale the model sustainably.
By making villages self-sufficient and ecologically sound, this initiative redefines rural prosperity.
