Digital Literacy Training
In today’s technology-driven world, digital literacy is no longer optional — it is a fundamental skill. Yet, a vast digital divide still exists across rural India. Damooga Foundation’s Digital Literacy Training program aims to bridge this divide by providing access to digital tools and the skills needed to use them effectively.
This initiative is implemented through mobile training units, rural computer labs, and partnerships with local schools and panchayat centers. Students, youth, homemakers, and farmers are trained in using smartphones, computers, internet browsing, online transactions, digital safety, and basic office tools.
Special modules are created for school children to support online learning and access to educational content. Sessions also help villagers understand digital identity systems like Aadhaar, and access e-governance platforms like DigiLocker, UPI, and telemedicine services.
By bringing digital literacy to villages, Damooga empowers communities to access better opportunities, stay informed, and participate fully in the digital economy.
