Green Campus Initiatives
Sustainable practices must begin in the very institutions that shape our future — schools and colleges. Damooga Foundation’s Green Campus Initiatives promote environmental consciousness among students and teachers through hands-on eco-projects within educational institutions.
Under this program, schools are encouraged to adopt tree planting, organic gardens, waste segregation, composting units, and water conservation measures. Solar lights, eco-club formations, and energy audits are also part of the intervention.
Students learn not just environmental theory but also action — turning their school into a living laboratory for sustainability. These efforts are often integrated with science and social studies curriculum and aligned with Swachh Bharat and National Green Corps goals.
Through this initiative, schools evolve into role models for eco-awareness, inspiring surrounding communities and building a generation of environmentally responsible citizens.
