Nutrition Support for Children
Malnutrition remains a leading cause of poor health and stunted growth in Indian children. Damooga Foundation’s Nutrition Support for Children initiative aims to fight this by distributing nutrient-rich food kits and promoting child-friendly dietary practices.
Targeting anganwadi centers, low-income schools, and orphanages, the program provides protein supplements, fortified snacks, seasonal fruits, and milk. Locally available superfoods like ragi, peanuts, jaggery, and green leafy vegetables are promoted as affordable nutrition sources.
Special attention is given to underweight and anemic children, who receive follow-up assessments and referral support. Cooking demos and parental counseling ensure sustainability beyond the distribution phase.
With every child nourished, we’re nurturing stronger minds, bodies, and futures.
