Vocational Training for Women
Women’s economic independence transforms families and communities. Damooga Foundation’s Vocational Training for Women provides skill-based education in tailoring, beautician courses, embroidery, baking, and home-based packaging work.
The program operates through women-led training hubs and SHG centers, offering flexible hours and mother-friendly environments. Toolkits and raw materials are often provided at no cost.
Graduates are supported with market linkages, digital cataloging, and fair trade exhibitions. Some women go on to form micro-enterprises or work in group production units set up under this initiative.
Empowering a woman with a skill means lifting an entire household out of poverty.
