Environmental Hero Awards
The Environmental Hero Awards by Damooga Foundation recognize individuals and grassroots leaders who go beyond the call of duty to protect our planet. These unsung heroes — farmers, teachers, activists, tribal elders — work silently to plant trees, clean rivers, save biodiversity, and educate others.
Nominations are collected from the public and evaluated for impact, innovation, and sustainability. Past winners include a woman who created a forest on barren land, a fisherman saving mangroves, and a school student who led a zero-plastic campaign in her village.
The award ceremony is a celebration of local wisdom, courage, and Earth stewardship. Winners are offered fellowships, training opportunities, and a national platform to scale their work.
These awards remind us that real climate champions often don’t wear capes — they wear commitment.
