Documents Required for Darpan Registration Online

Any volunteer organization or Non-Governmental Organization registered as a trust, society, Section 8 company or non-profit is eligible to apply for NGO Darpan registration. Here’s a quick rundown of the documents needed for registration.

1. Copy of the registration certificate as a PDF or JPG
2. Pan card of NGO
3. PAN and Aadhaar card of 3 members in the executive committee

5. Registration number 
6. Date of registration 
7. Details of three members who are on the executive committee

Darpan Registration Procedure

The government has made it mandatory for NGOs and VOs to register for Darpan online. To be qualified for FCRA registration and to apply for additional government funds, these NGOs will need the Darpan certificate or unique ID. Here’s a quick overview of the NGO Darpan procedure.

1. First and foremost, users must go to the NGO Darpan’s official website, via this link. https://ngodarpan.gov.in/

2. Click on the Sign Up button and create a user ID and password for yourself.

3. Next, opt for registration and provide all the required details regarding your NGO.

4. You will have to provide basic contact details during this step, along with details regarding your PAN card.

5. Once they receive an OTP on your registered mobile number you can use that to generate your new password.

6. After using those to log in, you will have to provide details regarding your registration.

7. Similarly, provide further detail if you have multiple registrations.

8. Choose the appropriate sector of operation and fill up the achievements section as well.

9. Lastly, provide your address and then click on Submit after self-declaration.

Things to Keep In Mind

As of now, the portal does not allow unregistered groups or individuals to register for the NGO Darpan scheme.

1. The NGO Darpan portal helps NGOs access on time details regarding grants, apply for the same, and track the status of their application.
2. Moreover, to apply for grants, the NGOs will first have to register with the NGO Darpan and create an ID for themselves. Afterwards, they can find grants and obtain the contact details of the Nodal Officers who oversee such schemes for further information. 
3. The website does not allow the use of certain characters due to cybersecurity concerns. The form contains a “?” to help users understand what characters to refrain from using, such as ‘.’, ‘ ’, (apostrophe), ‘=’ along with a few words.
4. The password must contain one capital letter, at least one digit, and should have more than six characters.
5. You must ensure that the copy of your registration certificate should be less than 2MB to upload. 
6. While uploading a trust deed, applicants need to upload copies of only the first page and the page with the signature.
