Nutrition Awareness
Good nutrition is the foundation of good health — yet malnutrition remains widespread in both children and adults across India. Damooga Foundation’s Nutrition Awareness programs aim to educate communities about balanced diets, local superfoods, and the risks of undernutrition and obesity.
Programs are held in schools, anganwadis, and village centers using interactive modules, food charts, cooking demonstrations, and storytelling. Special focus is placed on women, adolescent girls, and young mothers to address anemia, stunting, and low birth weight.
The initiative also promotes kitchen gardening and organic farming as sustainable solutions for food security. Handouts and mobile-based learning tools ensure that knowledge reaches even those with low literacy.
With small changes in diet and lifestyle, these programs inspire big improvements in community health.
