Rural Health Camps
Access to quality healthcare in rural India remains a challenge due to a shortage of medical staff, infrastructure, and awareness. Damooga Foundation organizes Rural Health Camps to bridge this gap by bringing essential health services directly to remote communities.
These camps offer free medical check-ups, basic treatments, eye testing, maternal and child health services, and distribution of essential medicines. In collaboration with local health departments and volunteer doctors, the camps reach villages where even primary health centers are scarce or non-functional.
The focus is on early diagnosis and awareness — catching conditions like anemia, malnutrition, skin infections, and blood pressure issues before they become severe. Educational sessions are also held on hygiene, nutrition, menstrual health, and disease prevention.
By making healthcare accessible and preventative, these camps reduce rural medical neglect and empower people to take charge of their well-being.
