Biodiversity is the foundation of life — from pollinators that grow our food to forests that regulate our climate. Yet, habitat loss, pollution, and invasive species have pushed many plants and animals to the brink. Damooga Foundation’s Biodiversity Awareness campaigns aim to reconnect people with the web of life they often overlook.

Through nature walks, eco-clubs, photography contests, and educational exhibits, the campaign highlights the role of every species in maintaining balance — from frogs in wetlands to fungi in soil. School children learn to identify native flora and fauna, understand food chains, and adopt conservation ethics.

The Foundation also works with local authorities to protect sensitive habitats like wetlands, forest fringes, and sacred groves. Community volunteers monitor species sightings and report illegal encroachments.

This isn’t just about saving tigers or elephants — it’s about understanding that even the smallest organism plays a role in ecosystem health. When we lose biodiversity, we lose resilience. Through education and engagement, this campaign plants seeds of stewardship in every heart.
